Applicants and the competition or UPSC Civil’s Service Exam, As there are 10
lakhs of applicants this stage of examination acts as a screening test apart from
testing the aptitude of the candidate and decision making abilities of the
candidates, This
exam acts as the primary stage of filtering the candidates and
screening those who are not serious candidates, The marks scored by the
candidate are not counted
for deciding the merit of the candidate it merely serves as the examination
process to select the candidates for the mains examination process
As
we see know and then in news, that they are many controversies and other
disturbances from different groups in regarding the examination pattern, so
keep a watch on the prelims pattern changes and syllabus regarding it and see
how the UPSC is taking decision in modifying /altering the changes to the
examination pattern so that it helps in your preparation the changes can be at
any time instance are there that the changes happened just before 2 months of
examination. So have an eye on this, changes that happened to prelims
Examination previously and presently, As the time changes, the job
specifications needed to handle complex tasks also varies, according to the
needs the changes will be introduce in accordance with the guidelines of
committees recommendations and UPSC board decisions taken at it concern.
Before
2011 there is no CSAT (civil service aptitude test) paper instead the paper 2
is chosen by the candidate from the list of specific subjects which are in the
category listed by UPSC, the candidate has to choose one subject and in that he
has to write paper 2 of prelims example if he chooses geography the paper 2
examination is from geography, Since
2011 the paper 2 is cancelled and in place introduced CSAT as paper 2 which is
of aptitude test, questions based on Reasoning, Aptitude, Comprehension,
Decision making etc are introduced in it, In the year 2013, there many
political and other controversies regarding prelims paper pattern which finally
lead to cancellation of English comprehension session in CSAT paper 2 in the
year 2014
And
at the end of 2014, the paper 2 has changed its form completely, UPSC decided
to make it as just a qualifying paper in which the candidate need to score only
33% of marks so as to curtail the candidates from the Mathematics and technical
background students. "This
is a major step taken by UPSC", IIT and IIM students have to face
some tough resistance to this exam as the major favorite area for them is of no
more value now. But for the right candidate everything is a challenge
Upcoming changes NEW Change not introduced
The
latest change that the UPSC want to change is to include some part of syllabus
based on the guidelines and syllabus of IGNOU Resources (not made) source of
information is from coaching center's and from the words of experts in this
field, So
keep an eye on the changes that may be introduced at any time, follow up news and
updates from UPSC board
