Things to analyze before starting for preparing to UPSC Exam
For every journey we begin, we need planning ahead of the journey,
so as the civil s preparation (UPSC exam) a plan inclusively for the

success rate in UPSC Preparation
Every year nearly about 10lakhs aspirants apply for the UPSC out
of for which only 1000-1500 jobs available and even less than 150 posts of IAS,
100-150 posts of IPS and others all constitutes to nearly 1000-1500 jobs
The percentage chances that the candidate who is attempting for
the very first time to get success is 0.1- 0.5%, that is for every 1000 applied
candidate the chances to get clear is only for 1 candidate
Out of 10 lakhs applicants nearly 4-5 lakhs takes the test and
based on the no of posts the candidates are selected for the mains 12 to 13
times of the available posts (that is out of 4-5 lakhs only 12000-13000
candidates sits for the mains exam
Out of 12000 to 13000 only candidates 3ties of the number of
candidates are selected for the interview to fill the available seats of
1000-1500 jobs
After the completion of interview, list of final successful
candidates is published in the website of www.upsc.gov.in
The UPSC role is only to conduct the examination and recommend the
successful candidates to the Department of Personnel and Training which handles
the training and recruitment process of the successful candidates into the
services after completing of training.
Choosing Options for Services and State Cadre
Then the candidates who got qualified mains and interview need to
give their options according to their priority
For
example
- Service wise IAS > IPS > IFS
- State wise U.P > M.P > Karnataka
Then the final allocation will be made after the medical test is
done by the medical board.
Selected Candidate’s Training
For all the selected candidates the first three months foundation
course is in Uttarakhand Musoorie in Lal Bahadhud Sastry IAS academy and then
the candidates who opted for the others will move to concern places for
remaining training for example the candidates who opted for IAS stay there only
and who opted for IPS will move to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police
Academy in Hyderabad and those opted for IFS will move to Nagpur and others for
the place of training at different places
Then after based on performance in the training the officers will
enter at different entry level in different departments of the government and
moves further in their career
Then after successful completion of training the according to the
training and the capabilities and the taking into consideration they will enter
into service from lower level and finally they will become officers and career
moves on

A great start should always leads to great ending never try never know, every aspirant and many sources (Experts, Internet) says that Delhi is the Mecca of UPSC preparation because of availability of many resources coaching centers.
