National Eligibility cum Entrance Test
The Central Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Under Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.
As of regulations listed under the IMA Act (Indian Medical Council Act) 1956 and Dentists Act-1948, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission of candidates into MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Pondicherry.
Examination Date
NEET (UG) – 2019, 5th May, 2019.
NTA (National Testing Agency) Holds the responsibility to conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank merit list”, Government of India conducts counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for submitting the result to States/other Counselling Authorities.
