About FMGE - Foreign Medical Graduates Examination

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is the authority conducting the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination or FMGE, The main motive of this exam FMGE is to evaluate Indian nationals with medical degree from any countries other than India, From the year 2002, this entrance exam FMGE, made mandatory for all Foreign Medical Graduates in order to allow practice in India.

FMGE will be conducted twice every year in the month of June and in the month of December. Aspirants qualifying FMGE will be able to obtain a permanent or provisional registration with State Medical Council (SMC) or the Medical Council of India (MCI).
